How to transfer files from your phone to a laptop

You need a phone containing the files, a laptop with a modern web browser, and an internet connection on both devices. The phone and laptop do not need to use the same operating system or connect to the same Wi-Fi network.

Before uploading, check that each file is the correct version and has a clear filename. This prevents confusion when several documents are opened on the receiving laptop.

Visit qickshare.in in your phone browser. You do not need to create an account. Choose the regular file-upload option when you want to send documents without changing their format.

Select the files from your phone and review the displayed filenames before continuing. Remove any incorrect file instead of sending it and correcting the mistake later.

After selecting the correct files, generate the share. QickShare uploads the files and displays a 6-digit code with a matching QR code. Keep this page open until the laptop has received the files.

Treat the code as temporary access to the files. Do not post it publicly or send it to people who should not receive the documents.

Open qickshare.in in the laptop browser and find the receiving section. Enter the 6-digit code exactly as shown on the phone. If the laptop can scan a QR code, you can use the QR option instead.

After the code is accepted, review the filenames and download the required files. Open at least one file to confirm that it transferred correctly before closing the sharing page.

Use the image-to-PDF option when several photos belong to one assignment, form or set of notes. QickShare combines the selected images into one PDF, which is easier to organize, download and print than many separate image files.

Check the image order and orientation before creating the PDF. Automatic conversion cannot determine the intended page order for you.

First, confirm that all six digits were entered correctly. If the code was created more than 10 minutes ago, the share has expired and you must upload the files again. Also check that both devices still have a working internet connection.

If one browser is displaying an old page, refresh QickShare and try the new code once. Do not repeatedly submit an expired code.

This method is useful for moving assignments to a personal laptop, opening presentation files on a classroom computer, sending notes to a classmate, or providing documents to a print shop. The same process works across supported phones, tablets, laptops and desktops.

QickShare shares files temporarily, but you should still avoid uploading passwords, banking information, identity documents or other highly sensitive material unless the transfer is necessary and you understand the risk. Download the files promptly and allow the share to expire when finished.
